Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: May 2026

Oiriunu is a free resource for Texas homeowners. To keep it free, we earn revenue in a few different ways. This page explains exactly how that works so you always know where we stand.

We earn money in three ways

1. Product affiliate links

Some of the products we recommend on oiriunu.com include affiliate links — usually to Amazon or other retailers. If you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.

We only recommend products we believe are genuinely useful for flood protection. Affiliate relationships do not determine which products appear on our site or how we rank them.

2. Pay-per-lead fees from contractors

When you request a quote or get connected with a vetted contractor through oiriunu.com, we may receive a fee from that contractor for the introduction. You are never charged for this. The fee comes from the contractor’s side of the transaction.

3. Revenue share and commissions

Some of our partner contractors pay Oiriunu a percentage of the project value when a homeowner they were connected with through our platform completes a job. Again, this does not affect the price you pay — it is built into how our partners participate in the network.

What this means for our recommendations

Our editorial content — guides, assessments, solution comparisons — is written to help you make the best decision for your property, not to steer you toward any particular product or contractor. We do not accept payment to feature or rank specific products, and we do not let revenue relationships influence the advice we give.

If something earns us money, we’ll tell you. That’s the whole point of this page.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). We are required to let you know when a financial relationship exists between Oiriunu and a product, service, or contractor we mention or recommend.
